Have been in a couple of group shows this last month, a drawing show and a photo show. You can read about the making of the drawing on my site HERE. There are also links to reviews of both shows.
Thanks, Nathan. We're coming back to life after an intense month of hospitals and Mom's recovery. It is inspiring as always to read about and see your current work. Amazing! I was very intrigued to read about the influence of music with your art, and I applaud your probing and unique approach to the biblical story of Abraham and Isaac. Amazingly enough, this week I've been reading Kirk Douglas' book called Clmbing the Mountain. He's a great writer, I love the book, and he talks about how profoundly disturbing the story was to him of Abraham's sacrifice/ test from God. So much so, that it was the last straw for him as a 14-year old Jew. He talks repeatedly about the story and how he continued to reframe and refocus it as he grew and changed. A visit to Mount Moriah in Israel many years later provided a "full-circle" moment for him. I love how your work continues to ask questions and stimulate thoughts and connections. Great job, Nathan!
