Ravioli etc.

So this is a picture taken yesterday; before class I made a batch of spinach ravioli and to the right are sheets of pasta drying for linguine. I would love to see pictures of your favorite foods! That's my algebra book on the table. I'm hoping that if it's open I will learn through osmosis but it hasn't happened yet. Geneva

  1. Algebra lesson:
Figure out how many spinach ravioli John, Nate, Gene, Donna, Betty, Sherry, Matt, and Anastasia ate.

    1. Donna ate five times as many as Matt.

    2. Everyone ate a total of 59 spinach ravioli.

    3. Matt had one more than Sherry

    4. If Betty ate four more ravioli, she would have eaten the same number as John.

    5. Donna ate eight more than one-third the number eaten by Nathan.

    6. If John had eaten one more than three times the number of spinach ravioli, he would have eaten thirteen more than Anastasia.

  2. You are sooo mean! How about a problem with a few less variables and fractions? Have a heart! I'll let you and Dad solve the ravioli problem! Geneva
