I'm sure Molly had a hand in helping us find a loving lab from Central California Lab Rescue to help heal the sadness we experienced with Molly's sudden death. Maddie is very endearing and sweet. She was a breeder bitch for seven years and kept in a kennel all her days. She was such a good mother that any of the other mothers who rejected their puppies were given to Maddie and she readily adopted them. When she rests she crosses her front paws over the each other. It makes her look like a little princess. She enjoys playing with Cole, our Chow/Retriever who was quite melancholy when Molly died. He is happy to have a playmate. Maddie is learning how to be a loved spoiled house dog.
Maddie's black nose has now turned pink like Molly's was. You don't find many labs with a pink nose. I think Molly is letting us know she is happy with Maddie in the family.
